Selma native hosts second popup shop to showcase local businesses

The sun was out Saturday and so were Selma community members and small business owners.

Over 10 businesses were spread throughout Dripz Lounge to showcase their businesses for the Spring Fling Popup Shop.

Selma native and event organizer, Requita Marshall, said she wanted to show the community that there are local businesses to support right here in town.

“Alot of entrepreneurs started their businesses during the pandemic so I wanted to start something big around Selma,” she said.

Marshall said not only does she want to help expose community members to the local businesses, she wants to help fellow  entrepreneurs gain more business.

“I’m trying to get other business owners exposed into things that I’m also working on,” she said. “I try to help everybody.”

Marshall sells natural detox  products to promote overall vaginal health with her business Sweet Yoni.

She  said she understands firsthand the benefits of natural products because of  her own personal health testimony.

“We don’t think about the natural products we can use to prevent those.”

This was Marshall’s second popup shop. The first was held back in December.
