The Selma and Dallas County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Information seeks new membership

The Selma and Dallas County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Information is consistently looking for more members to join.

Sheryl Smedley, director of the Selma and Dallas County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Information, said joining the chamber has several benefits.

“We keep you updated on what’s happening in our community,” she said. “We’re in an information center and are always welcoming people to the community.”

Members are provided weekly events updates, monthly local news, invitations to participate in all chamber events, continuing education discounts, ribbon-cutting and ground- breaking ceremonies complete with dignitaries and media representation.

“We’re always making referrals,” Smedley said. “If someone calls and needs a service we always refer our chamber members to them.”

Chamber members are also provided access to business development resources,  insurance discounts through the Peak Insurance and The Frazer Group, referrals and promotional opportunities and access to Troy University resources.

Cost for membership is determined by which category you fall under. The four categories to join under are business, financial institution, individual/senior, and non profit/educational.

Individual memberships are available to persons not affiliated with any business or organization who want to take an active interest in our community.
